Touched... not sure if the word is sufficient to verbalize what I felt when I read a post of a blogger friend about me, but if there is a word more profound I'd use it. I didn't realize I made such an impact to an individual (one I have yet to meet in person) that she decided to send me a gift. I'm referring to the author of the Kalokang Buhay ng Isang Pinay sa Ukay, Kristeta. She is a Filipino working as an nurse in England. Her blog chronicles her day to day life as an OFW and as a mom to her cute little boy, Poj.
Her blog just turned one last January and to celebrate it, she gave away cute purses from Cath Kidston to three lucky readers. It was a sort of a pay-it-forward thing; to join you have to do the same thing for your blog followers, which is the exact reason I let it pass. Not that I'm a kill joy, it's just that I can't afford to do it as of the moment as I am saving every penny that I can for a summer getaway.
So imagine my surprise when one day Kristeta announced in her Ikaw ang Una Ko post that she's sending another Cath Kidston purse to me. I was at a loss for words, didn't see that one coming. Nevertheless I was flattered.
Yesterday I got off early from work to drop by the Makati Postal Office. Finally I was able to claim the thing that had me waiting in great anticipation these past few weeks; the parcel straight from London, England!

It comes with a note, (hope Kristeta doesn't mind that I shared it here) with a lovely message and sprinkles of little gold stars.

And here it is, the Cath Kidston pink purse! This is my first Cath Kidston bag and I so so loved it!

As soon as I was done taking pictures, I replaced my old kikay (make-up) kit with this.
Now my thank-you speech...
Thanks Kristeta for this wonderful gift, I so appreciate it! I'm delighted and grateful to have discovered a good friend like you in the blogosphere and I hope that this is just the beginning of a lasting friendship. I will be waiting for the time you get back here in the Philippines so that we can do what you want... coffee or food trip, hell let's do both! Again, thanks so much sis and I wish you and your family good health and happiness... always :)
